About
Yana Gordin is an abstract artist and licensed psychotherapist based in LA. She was born in Moscow, Russia in 1986 and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1991 with her parents.

Yana discovered the power of art as a child while not being able to speak English with peers at school. In 2009, while majoring in psychology and minoring in art during undergrad, she learned about the healing aspect of painting after the sudden loss of her father. In 2010, she had her first art show and was picked up by an art gallery, Artspace Warehouse, in West Hollywood, CA. She has had numerous exhibitions since then.

Yana completed her masters in art therapy in 2014 and doctorate in clinical psychology in 2017. In 2023 she published a book on grief titled, “Beyond The Veil: Navigating Grief Through Spirituality, Religion, Attachment, and Alternative Methods.” In 2024 she began to redefine her painting style with infusing psychological concepts within her abstract and expressionistic painting process.
